The Strategic Procurement Program is designed to build  strategic procurement competencies and enable participants to formulate policy recommendations and provide strategic advice in terms of change management and stakeholders' role and commitment.

It is addressed to:

  • Senior governments officials involved in the preparation, monitoring, control and audit of public procurement plans and operations.
  • Procurement specialists, senior and mid-career employees from private sector and from international organizations are also invited to join the program.

The program is conducted by senior experts and professional trainers from the public and private sectors.

A final examination is mandatory to complete the program requirements. A “Certificate of Recognition” is be granted to participants who successfully complete a pass rate of 50% of the examination.

The program duration is 36 hours spread over a period of 6 days. 42 hours of pre-readings is recommended prior to the training.

This course was developed by international experts in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in the UK (CIPS), and the support of the Government of Italy. It is offered by the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan in Lebanon in cooperation with CIPS-UK.
